Unthinkable Loss

It appears that we are walking through a season of mourning. We have felt the loss of many that we have held dear. However, I can't even put into words the magnitude of devastating grief we are feeling for some sweet friends of ours.

I want to ask for all our friends & family to lift up Meagan & Matt Robinson. They have suffered a loss that I can't even begin to fathom, the loss of their youngest son, Mobley (21 months old).

The visitation is tomorrow & the funeral on Thursday morning. I can't even begin to describe what a beautiful family they are & the faith that they have. Pray God's sustaining mercy over them.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

New Beginnings

I want to send a warm congrats to two dear friends of ours, Anne & Steven. They are expecting their first child in December. It was bittersweet for us to hear the news. However, we couldn't think to two better parents for this new life.

As you can see, they will probably have a little redhead in their future.
This is a pic of Steven holding Drew at 3 months :)

Our friends [that adopted internationally] are home at last. All are settled in & their little one is happy as a lark. We thought we'd share their story fully now.

Lala Visit

One of my dearest friends, Laura, came for a short visit last weekend. It was WONDERFUL! She & a coworker/friend (Kevin) were in TN for work. So, they drove on down for the weekend. (Above is a pic of us holding our thesis books in the Arc Library).

We toured MSU campus... especially our old stomping grounds, Giles Hall. So much has changed since we graduated......well, the campus...not Giles.

We were able to catch up with several staff members there. Some things never change. Goodness knows, neither of us could/would do it all over!! LOL

We also hit up one of Starkville's prime eatery legends....Little Dooey's.

Then, Saturday we also went to the MSU v Georgia Tech game. Sadly we lost, but Kevin got to experience some cowbell action. It's an SEC experience!! We were all officially pooped on Sunday! However, it was hard to see them leave!

Walking in Memphis

David & I (kk) had a great weekend. We went to visit one of my dearest friends, Anna. We enjoyed getting out of town "together" finally!! Friday night, she took us to a great taco shop,"Swanky", in Germantown. It's similar to Chipotle, but decidely better. Afterwards, the three of us spent the rest of the night being the big nerds that we are.......reading a personality book...(which explains David's previous post).

Saturday, we hit the mall......in hopes of finding David a shirt to wear at Wes's wedding. Thankfully, Macy's was having a huge sale on menswear. We found his shirt in 5 minutes.
