Spring Fever

As you can see, we've got it.....spring fever. I dreamed up a path & English garden for the South side of our house. The last 2 weeks, we've spent bringing that image to life.

1. We tilled the soil up (prepping for the path & landscaping).



















2. Then, we staked off the path.

3. Of course, we put down a vegetation barrier & sand for our base layer.











4.Next, we added large marble chips & topped with crushed rock.

5. Add a few plants for year round color....











6. And VOILA!!

David's Thesis

David had his Thesis Defense last week. He knocked it out of the park...of course!!

We had to provide some food for the occassion.......so, I did a small table of delicious fare..with of course our token "glass bottled" drinks. There's just something nice about a coke from a bottle.

Exciting Stuff: Job, Snow, Revival

JOB:
We found out last Thursday that David got the instructor's position at MSU for teaching....starting this fall!! YAY!! We are both so excited. We kinda had all our eggs in that basket. God is so good!!

SNOW:
Saturday night, "it came a blizzard"...LOL. Seriously, we had several inches covering the ground. (That makes for 2 March's in a row!!)We both got pictures on our camera phones, but neither of us know how to download them yet.

It was Jack's first snow.....we were wondering how he would react to it. If it's raining, he will just go to the back door & turn around quickly when he realizes he might get wet. The only way to walk him in the rain, is to put a doggy rain coat on him & walk him around the neighborhood with a good ol' fashioned leash. He'll only brave the weather....if it gives him a chance to mark "new" territory.

Surprisingly, he just bounded out the back door into the snow. I secretly wonder if he thought the yard was strewn with white kitties......HA!

REVIVAL:
Yesterday, our church started its Revival. I'm excited about the messages and the music. We hope it stirs the hearts of our church & community.
