Memorial Day - Getaway

We took advantage of the long weekend...and headed to the coast. It was nice to get away even for one night. We had a ton of fun with 2 other couples. We decided we better do what we can now, b/c we have the feeling...we'll be staying put for a while.

As you can see, I gave David a little faux-hawk just for the fun of it..... It's amazing how he just transformed into a "rocker" dude..

FYI- Don't expect too much traveling for me anymore. I can't tell you how uncomfortable I was in the car!! Although, it was totally worth it! Yay for good food, great friends, and sunshine!!

SURPRISE!!

Surprise!!

Well, if we haven’t been able to tell you personally……..it’s not because we haven’t wanted to. We’ve been overwhelmed with this little SURPRISE!! We’ve been on the phone non-stop over the last week or so trying to tell everyone personally. Although, there’s never enough time!!......especially when I crash as soon I get home at night.

It’s been a rocky road, with a few complications. However, we had the first sonogram yesterday & all is well! We are blessed beyond what would have ever thought possible!!

We are 13 weeks and some change. Baby ED is doing great!! Momma K-rin is nervous….and Daddy David is just plain excited.

For the record: the baby will not be named ED.
If it’s a girl: Ella Elizabeth
If it’s a boy: Drew Thomas
Hence: ED…..and if you guessed that the nickname was the brainchild of David….you would be correct!!

Graduation!!

Tomorrow, David will graduate with his Masters!!! We are both so excited!! It seems like just yesterday he was moving back from Kansas to start this adventure...While on one hand, it's flown by.....in a lot of ways, time has stood still.

I'm so proud of him. As the first person in his family to finish college, he not only did that....but kept going. He was offered a free phD from MSU this spring too!! He's so amazing!! For now, he's decided not to pursue the phD, but accepted a teaching position at MSU. He starts in two weeks, as Instructor Keeney!!

This past weekend we were sitting in our backyard, musing how blessed life is right now. While not perfect, our life has found a sweet comfortable rhythm. We are blessed!! We give all the praise to God!! Life is good!!

Hopefully, I'll update after the weekend with a few pics!!
