Anniversary Weekend

We celebrated our anniversary a little early this time. Since, David is in Starkville during the week days. We just celebrated all weekend long. Friday,we went out to sushi, the mall, then dessert at our favorite bistro(as we watched the presidential debate). Saturday,we didn't do any house or yard work. Plus, we found the most amazing cooking place. It is full of tons of gourmet finds. It will be my newest gift place I'm sure. Sunday afternoon,we went to the park with Jack. Of course, I got flowers AGAIN!! Sorry VH1 THIS was the best weekend ever!!

Weekend Update- Healthy Cooking

David and I had a great weekend!! I've gotten on a new health kick. I cooked vegetarian all weekend. David actually liked everything I made.....but especially the veggie pizzas I made for him (yep, even with homemade dough!!)I'm not sure I'd ever seen a pizza before with no grease!! His favorite foods are tacos & pizza (go figure!!). It's funny. I cooked every meal this weekend.....and by doing so (from scratch), I think I spent the entire weekend in the kitchen. How did our mothers do that? I can't remember my mom making anything from a box. Although admittedly, her standby was "frying."

On a side note: Our lawnmower is broken again. So, please be in prayer that we can make it to winter with this one.

Good Times

When I arrived home from work yesterday, David had not one but two bouquets of flowers for me!! It's was incredibly sweet.

Also, I thought I'd add a few pics of David mowing the lawn (I weed, trim bushes & weed-eat (sp?). Plus just some fall pics around the house!!

Not 5 Yet??!!

I have a few minutes left on my lunch break......So, I thought I'd write a quick little post. It's a been a long week....and it's on the tipping point of being done!! Yay!! Anyone else watch the clock on Fridays? David will be getting home about the time I leave work. Therefore, I have a lot to look forward to. The weekends are never long enough. We sure do make the most of them though. I can't wait till the day the distance gap is closed FOREVER. However, we still have our routine. Life has a really nice ebb & flow right now. Life is good. I don't have a single complaint.

FYI- I got David's Christmas gift in today...It's going to be a long 3.5 months of staying tight-lipped about it. I wasn't expecting it till December. It's exciting. I would post pics....but I'm pretty sure Mr. Keeney would see them. So, I'll hold ya'll in suspense too!!

9/11

I just wanted to thank the members of the military, past & present, for the service and protection they provide for this country. I want to send prayers out to all the families of the lost ones of 9/11.

You are remembered.

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day was extremely relaxing. We spent all day Saturday doing anything thing we wanted. We took Jack to the park. We went to a matinee. We even had a date night at the Bistro (a cute little restaurant a block away from us......so, we just took a nice little stroll).

Sunday was our new pastor's first Sunday. His sermons were great. I think he's exactly what our church needs. The music leader was out of town. So, we had to fill in. I think it was his way of getting us back (when we went out of town).

Monday, we had a big cook-out & had a load of friends over. David can definitely grill!!
