Just a few updates

Well, Drew started sleeping through the night. He slept through the night for almost two weeks...until this week. I think it's harder getting up at night now...then it was before...b/c I got used to the sleep!!

On a bright note: I was voted in as Chairwoman for the Historic Preservation Commission (last week). The bummer is the public hearing we have tomorrow. I'm in for quite a rough hearing over a controversial issue. What a meeting to have to begin chairing!! I'm not looking forward to it.
The upside, is it will be good for my resume...as well as, keeping me in the professional loop with the City.

Sunday night, I was able to attend an Alumni dinner at the College of Architecture. It was good to reconnect with some of my old professors & friends....plus, put out feelers for jobs. It seems everyone is hurting for work (at least in the area).

David has his year end review on Friday. I'm sure it will be awesome!! But prayer can't hurt either...So, pour it on!!

Drew is as beautiful as ever. It seems I'm retiring another outfit almost daily now...he's growing so fast. He's up to 12lbs!! His smiles are the fuel in my tank!! Plus, every once in a while he has a giggle & squeal fest...it's the best. Being a mom is definitely the best job I've ever had!!

Videos

Okay, I know I've neglected everyone from updates about Drew. Don't worry... I have a special treat.

I have a few videos you might enjoy from the last few weeks. These are even better than pics...I think anyway!!

Here's one of Drew in the hospital:

On the Mend

We were in the hospital a week. However, we are all home safe & sound. David & I were really sick last week, but finally over the hump. We still have some congestion/cough...but much, much better.

As for myself, I have finally started on the job search train this week. I filed for unemployment. However, it is less than a 1/3 of what I was making. It's better than nothing & for that I'm grateful. I should start receiving that in a week or so.
I've beefed up my resume & even applied for a few jobs. None of them are what I was doing, but I'm trying to find something in "related" fields. One job I applied for today had already received 49 applications.... So, it's a pretty competitive environment right now. One of the hardest things is shopping for health insurance. I've found one that is doable but will eat up most of the unemployment check...but none of them I've found will cover any type of maternity costs. So, I hope God doesn't plan on us expanding our family again any time soon!!

Thanks for all the prayers. We really are doing great. God is good. My husband has a job that he loves, Drew is healthy.....what more can I really ask?!
